Sample Chapter: One For All, And All For One

As most of you know, I’ve been working on a Historical Fiction/Romance novel titled ‘One For All, And All For One’. It centers around Louis XIV/France. This is the next book that I’m striving to release once it’s ready.

Well, I finally finished editing the first chapter and wanted to share it with you all. I hope you all enjoy what I’ve written.

I’d love to know what you all think of this new story.

Within The Bastille

Pushing the man into the small cell, the guard kicked the door shut behind him with the flick of his wrist and walked away without a backward glance. Howling with rage, Louis turned around and ran towards the closed door, ramming his shoulder against it.

“Let me out of here!” he cried. “You have no right to keep me here. I am the King, I tell you!”

The warden chortled, his maniacal laughter ringing throughout the dungeon. “Do ye hear that, boys? He proclaims himself to be the King!”

His brown eyes blazed with fury as he curled his hands into tight fists and banged them against the thick wood. “You have imprisoned the wrong man. I am the King! The man on the throne is an imposter.” Continue reading

Another Review Of Stuck By Lucy Swing

Stuck Book Cover Lucy Swing graciously reviewed Stuck for me and forwarded me a copy of the review that she wrote. I wanted to share it with all of you.

Thank you so much for the review, Lucy!

Lucy Swing:

“Stuck” by Lissette E. Manning captured me from the very beginning; spiraling me into her post-apocalyptic world.  In this heart wrenching short story, we follow Annie as she leaves the safety of her home in search of means to provide for her family. As a mother myself, I felt the utter pain Annie went through leaving her children behind and the need to go out into the unknowing to ease her family’s hunger. Continue reading

A Review Of Stuck By Anthony Marchio

Stuck Book Cover Anthony Marchio, a screenwriter and fellow writer, recently reviewed my story, Stuck. Below you’ll find what he had to say.

Thank you so much for the review, Anthony. It’s much appreciated!

Anthony Marchio:

Where do I begin with this story.

From the title of it, you wouldn’t know what’s going on until the very end. The first-person story telling gives this book an amazing feel. The setting in the beginning is great and catches your attention. As the story progresses you get a sense of emotion. But you can’t figure out what it is. The vivid descriptions of the setting really bring this book to life. It’s an emotional ride and very powerful. It will have you tearing up. Continue reading

Book Cover For Haunted

Hiya, folks. How’s it going?

As most of you know, I’ve several projects in the works and have been sharing snippets of what I’ve been working on as I go along.

These last few days I’ve been writing a paranormal romance story that didn’t have a name up until yesterday morning. This new novel is now called Haunted.

The introduction short story to this novel, which some of you have already read, is called Compromise to the Soul. You can also find the cover for the short story, HERE. Continue reading

Compromise of the Soul Cover

So I spent the better part of yesterday dilly-dallying. I shouldn’t have, but I admit it. Ironically, it felt great to take a little break from writing since I’ve been doing a lot of it lately.

I also spent some time messing around making some digital art. One of the things that I was working on was a cover for the short story that I wrote recently titled ‘Compromise of the Soul’. Continue reading
