Sample Excerpt: Stuck

stuck cover thumbnail I meant to unveil this excerpt of my story earlier but a couple things came up during the day that prevented me from doing so. I apologize for the delay. This is still a work-in-progress, so I ask that you bear with me if something within the story is not yet there. All in all, I hope you enjoy what I’ve written, thus far. Would love to know what you all think of both the preliminary cover and the story itself.

Derelict buildings sat silent on random corners, ghostly shells sporting broken windows and rotted wooden doors that hung off their hinges. Large cracks lined the road, stone and rubble littering the pavement. Shadows danced as I walked along the darkened streets, catching occasional glimpses of an abandoned car. Continue reading

You know . . .

I’ve spent quite a bit of time reading, while also writing, lately since I won’t have a high-speed connection till mid-June, which impedes me from doing needed research for what I’ve been working on. Most of the books that I’ve read lately have been via the Amazon Kindle.

Officially Published!

Closure ThumbnailI’ve officially had my first book published!!!!

I recently decided to experiment and take the self-publishing route. I have to say that although it was very nerve-racking, it has also been a huge learning experience.

You see, I’ve never done this sort of thing, even though I’ve seen many author’s take this route and have been successful in doing so. I am praying that I, too, will be successful with the decisions for my writing that I have recently undertaken. Continue reading
